California’s 25th Pilot Flying J Travel Center Opens in Jurupa Valley

Pilot Flying J’s 25th location in California recently opened in Jurupa Valley earlier last month.
California’s newest Pilot Flying J Travel Center is located at 11053 Riverside Drive, and is well positioned to provide full service amenities for both area residents, the nearby communities of Riverside and San Bernardino and the general traveling public.
“We’re committed to making a better day for people living, working and traveling through Jurupa Valley county and across the nation,” said Ken Parent, president of Pilot Flying J. “We continue to invest in new locations to bring convenience, quality, great food and amenities to those who are traveling the roadways.”
It is reported that the new travel center development will provide approximately 50 new local jobs and contribute $5.1 million annually in state and local tax revenues.
The development features numerous amenities for both those traveling the highways and the local residents:

- PJ Fresh Casual Food and Pizza
- Premium Coffee and Cappuccino Selections
- Restrooms and Showers

Conveniences for travelers will also include:
- 12 High Speed Diesel Fuel Lanes (with DEF)
- 8 Gasoline Pumps Capable of Fueling 16 Vehicles at One Time
- Tank Farms and Below Ground Tanks
- Parking for 107 Trucks and 22 Bobtails (trucks without a trailer)
Addressing the local community, Jason Herriott, Travel Center general manager for Pilot Flying J. noted “Pilot Flying J is honored to be a part of the Jurupa Valley community and to contribute to the local school district. Fiedler Group provided the fuel system design, related structural design, and permitting associated with the above ground diesel, below ground gasoline and DEF fuel systems.
The Jurupa Valley Travel Center is the ninth Pilot Flying J project Fiedler Group has completed in California – previous fuel designs were completed at Pilot Flying J Travel Centers located in Brawley, Tehachapi, Lathrop, Patterson, Otay Mesa, Dunnigan, Tulare and Lebec.
