McDonald’s, Fountain Valley

Fiedler Group is excited to announce the opening of a new McDonald’s restaurant in the City of Fountain Valley, California.

Fiedler Group has now completed 12 new build/remodel McDonald’s projects in the past six years.

Found at 18962 Brookhurst St., the Fountain Valley restaurant is located on a 0.81 acre site within an existing shopping center.

The project involved the demolition of an existing 4,960 square foot restaurant and site improvements, and the construction of a new 3,853 square foot prototype building with a double drive-thru configuration.

This project presented water quality management challenges since the site had to capture not only the water on site but also the water from the existing shopping center to the east that naturally drained through the project site.

In order to mitigate this and meet the water quality management best practices, we created two retention ponds along the south side of the site allowing the water to percolate.

Fiedler Group was responsible for all architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, and civil design, as well as addressing entitlement processing and all permit submittals and acquisitions.

The contractor for this project was Chino-based JG Construction.
