Last month, Clean Energy Fuels Corp. celebrated the opening of its newest compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station, in Houston.
The opening marks the 65th Clean Energy natural gas station located in Texas, and one of over 550 located throughout the United States and Canada.
The station is located at the Valero fueling facility located at 9221 Wallisville Road off I-610, east of Houston proper.
The fast-fill CNG station is open to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will support the fueling needs of over 100 heavy-duty trucks, in addition to a variety of other natural gas vehicles.
Fiedler Group was responsible for the due diligence, entitlement, civil engineering, site adapt design and permitting of the facility.
Jeff Dillon, President of Dillon Transport, commented, saying “This station is key to our commitment to sustainability and the environment.”
The Clean Energy fuel station is important to Dillon Transport, considering over half of the company’s fuel consumption is natural gas.
He continued, “Our ability to utilize this station, along with Clean Energy’s entire network of stations, allows us the opportunity to grow as our customers demand cleaner transportation solutions.”
Ed Prichard, Vice President of Transportation for Silver Eagle Distributors, agrees on the benefits of CNG, commenting, “The stability of the lower prices and cleaner attributes make it a no-brainer to continue to make the switch and utilize Clean Energy’s expanding network of stations.”
