Chevron, North Hollywood
January 10th, 2012 by Fiedler Group
Founded in 1879, Chevron has grown to be one of the largest corporations in the petroleum industry – supporting retail outlets on six continents.
Due to our expertise in the retail petroleum industry coupled with our legacy of success with independent franchisees (as well as elite members of the Fortune Global 500), a North Hollywood-area Chevron franchisee retained Fiedler Group to design and permit the rebuild of his facility.
The franchisee’s desire was to add new value to the existing 950-square foot food mart and six-dispenser fuel facility.
Working on behalf of the franchisee, Fiedler Group provided all permitting services with the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County (food services), and acquired fuel design approval from Los Angeles City Fire, South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), and California Air Resources Board (CARB).
From a design stand point, our design team provided the architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil and landscape design utilized to dramatically transform the Southern California location with new service offerings and amenities.
Improvements included:
- a spacious 4,200-square foot convenience store,
- new, environmentally-friendly 2,980-square foot car wash using reclaimed water,
- 8-dispenser fuel canopy,
- three underground vaulted storage tanks with underground mechanical ventilation system, and
- an on-site stormwater treatment system
As a result of our work, the franchisee realized increased daily fuel sales, increased activity in the new convenience store, and additional ancillary sales from the new carwash.
