Ralphs, Rancho Cucamonga
May 15th, 2012 by Fiedler Group
On April 12th, Ralphs opened its newest Southern California retail fueling facility in Rancho Cucamonga. Located at the southeast corner of Haven Ave and Valencia Ave. within the Terra Vista Village Shopping Center, the new 5 dispenser canopy and kiosk was designed to meet the stiff architectural standards of the Terra Vista Community Plan and the City of Rancho Cucamonga Planning Department.
Fiedler Group worked closely with the site developer and City Staff in the design development and entitlement processing which included approvals from the Development Review Committee and a Conditional Use Permit from the Planning Commission.
Due to the site’s close proximity to residential neighborhoods, the Planning Department required Fiedler Group to host a community meeting for the local property owners to receive project comments and concerns. In response to the issues presented by the local community, Fiedler Group provided a specialized traffic analysis and health risk assessment to address security and health concerns, which ultimately led to design enhancements to mitigate traffic concerns.
In addition to the design development and entitlement processing, Fiedler Group provided the civil, landscape, fuel, electrical design, as well as all permit acquisition associated the new fuel facility.
The new station — which features a stucco canopy with tile roofing that complements the existing shopping center — provides both gasoline and diesel to the local community.
The facility has experienced excellent early sales activity and Grand Opening Ceremonies are expected to occur in the few weeks.
