Fred Meyer opens new Shelton Fuel Station

November 15th, 2016 by Fiedler Group

Last week Fred Meyer opened its newest Washington retail fueling facility.

Located at 301 E. Wallace Kneeland Blvd., Shelton , this ¾ acre development consists of the construction of a new Fred Meyer gasoline station which includes a 3,956 square foot fueling canopy, a 178 square foot prefabricated kiosk, five fuel dispensers, two underground storage tanks, and associated fueling system components.

The new gas station — which is located adjacent to an existing Fred Meyer grocery store parking lot was carefully designed to fit within a myriad of sewer, pipeline, water and stormwater easements..

The station, which features the signature Fred Meyer red and silver canopy fascia, is designed with clear, one way direction of travel, abundant vehicle stacking, and enough room between the fueling vehicles to allow customer to leave without waiting for the car in front of them to finish fueling.

The new fuel facility was designed to meet both State of Washington SEPA requirements and City of Shelton Site Plan Approval criteria.

In addition to the design development and entitlement processing, Fiedler Group provided all architectural, civil, landscape, fuel, electrical design required for the project development.

Expedited permitting services were also provided by Fiedler Group, which included obtaining approvals from City of Shelton Building and Public Works Departments, State of Washington Department of Ecology, Central Mason County Fire Department and Olympic Region Clean Air Agency.

Construction of this new fuel station was Portland based Menghannan Construction..
