Construction of Clean Energy Fuels’ Natural Gas Highway Underway
October 16th, 2012 by Fiedler Group
Trucks powered by natural gas will soon be traveling across the country on America’s Natural Gas Highway as Clean Energy Fuels is busy constructing 70 anticipated LNG truck fueling facilities in 33 states by year end.
The recently completed Pearl, Mississippi facility and the Central Point, Oregon facility which is currently under construction are excellent examples of the breadth and extensive geographic coverage being addressed by the aggressive rollout of Clean Energy Fuels’ America’ Natural Gas Highway (ANGH).
Both of these facilities are located at existing Pilot / Flying J Travel Centers.
The Pearl station includes an above-ground tank with a fuel canopy and two LNG fuel dispensers.
Central Point is being developed on previous undeveloped property and also provides an above-ground tank with canopy and two LNG dispensers.
Fiedler Group’s Design Team is assisting the Clean Energy Fuels ANGH rollout by addressing the full range of design and management needs for the nationwide program, including:
- Initial site investigation reports
- Preliminary site plan development
- All entitlement services
- Geotechnical and Survey coordination
- Design development of permit packages, including all civil and electrical design
- Permit expediting
- Bid and Construction support
