Clean Energy Opens El Paso Fueling Station
July 1st, 2014 by Fiedler Group
Clean Energy Fuels Corporation recently announced the opening of its El Paso, Texas fueling station.
The new station is the latest addition to America’s Natural Gas Highway and enables heavy-duty LNG truck fueling along Interstate 10, spanning between Los Angeles and Houston.
Clean Energy President and CEO, Andrew J. Littlefair, commented: “The I-10 from LA to Houston is another link in America’s goods-movement infrastructure now fuelling with natural gas. One corridor at a time, our nationwide network is opening and changing how America moves.”
The newly opened El Paso facility will be used by EJ Madison’s hauling for Cardinal Health, as previously announced in a fueling agreement with Clean Energy.
According to Clean Energy representatives, EJ Madison intends to expand this fleet — which has traveled more than 500,000 miles — with 30 dual-fuel LNG/diesel vehicles. Once fully deployed, this fleet is forecasted to consume approximately 36,000 diesel-gallon-equivalents (DGE) of LNG every year.
