7-Eleven, Redlands

December 16th, 2014 by Fiedler Group

In November, a new 7-Eleven location opened on the southeast corner of Lugonia and Orange Street, in Redlands, California.

Located at 1256 Orange Street, this new, half acre retail strip center includes the new 7-Eleven convenience store and two additional 20 foot wide retail suites for a total retail area of 4,866 square feet.

Architecturally, a light tan and peach stucco adorns the exterior walls and columns with precast decorative bands spanning the entrance, paired with precast concrete veneer wainscot, covered walkways, light brown tower elements, and a Spanish tile roofing.

The tower element of the convenience store entrance features a 30-foot, eight-sided mansard tile, which is complemented by a 25-foot, four-sided mansard tile tower at the northwest corner of the building, as well as a 20-foot tower with decorative cornice at the northeast corner of the facility.

A free-standing, tile covered pedestrian site entrance is featured on the Lugonia corner of the facility, with a decorative hardscape at the drive approach.

Off-site, a new 4-foot wide concrete median on Orange Street was constructed, along with the widening of Lugonia Avenue, which incorporated a 12-foot wide concrete bus pad. With such off-site improvements, driveway and sidewalk enhancements were made on both streets, while pavement, drainage, and driveway improvements were made to the adjacent alley.

Fiedler Group provided civil, landscape, architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structure design, as well as entitlement exhibits and processing.
