Shell Announces Plan to Open 10,000 New Stations
March 28th, 2018 by Fiedler Group
Royal Dutch Shell plans to expand their business with 10,000 new fuel stations by 2025, targeting China, India and Mexico for more than half of them. These locations are considered to be fast-growing and this will bring its total number of stations to 55,000 around the world, serving about 40 million customers daily.
Alternative fuels will be more available at the pumps and in order to circumvent being dependent on fuel, Shell will also be opening around 5,000 new convenience stores and upgrading existing stations across the world.
“We are making products from today’s technologies as good as they can be, with better fuels and lubricants. We are also helping to deliver tomorrow’s products, services and technologies. From battery-electric vehicle charging to next-generation biofuels; LNG to transport to hydrogen; and smartphone apps that enable more efficient driving. We are also working to reduce emissions from our own operations,” said John Abbott, Downstream Director.
