Clean Energy Fuels Corp. Opens First LNG Station in Mississippi
October 20th, 2015 by Fiedler Group
In a partnership between Clean Energy Fuels Corp. and Pilot Flying J, Mississippi’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) station opened in the city of Pearl.
The fueling station opened at the Flying J Travel Plaza on Highway 80 in September.
Fiedler Group was retained to provide design and permit acquisition services for this project.
With the opening of the Pearl station, there are now over 60 LNG Pilot Flying J properties.
The newest addition to America’s Natural Gas Highway will service 115 LNG heavy-duty vehicles that Raven Transport utilizes to move consumer goods.
The new Pearl LNG station is important not only because it’s the first like station in Mississippi, but its presence alone helps support the seamless transition from dependence on traditional gas fuel to natural gas.
