5,000 Hydrogen Fueling Stations To Be Deployed Globally By 2032

Information Trends, a Washington D.C. based market research company, recently published a report finding that almost 5,000 hydrogen fueling stations will be deployed globally by 2032.
The new report entitled “Global Market for Hydrogen Fueling Stations” predicts the hydrogen stations will offer an aggregate capacity of 3 million kilograms per day.
According to the report, Japan and South Korea, Denmark and Germany are pushing the development of hydrogen fueling infrastructure, noting that in Europe, Denmark was the first country to implement hydrogen fueling infrastructure, and Germany is planning to build 400 hydrogen fueling stations in the next six years.
Lead author of the report, Naqi Jaffery said “Hydrogen is the fuel of the future and the proliferation of hydrogen stations represents the natural progression from fossil fuels to clean energy.”
Currently, five major car manufactures are leading the way in the development of hydrogen-powered vehicles – Toyota, Honda and Hyundai have been marketing their respective fuel cell vehicles for many months , while Audi and Mercedes-Benz are preparing to release their own fuel cell vehicles.
Late last year, Nikola Motor announced plans to build a network of 364 hydrogen stations to support their own vehicle fleet and serve other hydrogen-powered vehicles.
