The Benefits of Our Expertise (Plus, QSD and QSP Certification)
July 9th, 2013 by Fiedler Group
The fourth point in the Fiedler Group Mission Statement reads, “Foster the professional growth, continuous improvement and personal satisfaction of all Fiedler Group associates.”
As you might imagine, that’s something we take very seriously.
To that end, all of us here at Fiedler Group pursues to further enhance our expertise and ability to provide superior services to our clients. And we accomplish this through incremental training, certification, and licensing.
It’s an ongoing commitment to being an industry leader, to being the go-to firm, to maintaining a current knowledge of industry developments.
For example, one of our Project Engineers – William C. Cunningham III — recently became certified as a QSD – Qualified Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Developer and a QSP-(Qualified SWPPP Practitioner).
What does that mean to our clients?
For starters, there are many state storm water permit requirements associated with construction and land disturbance activities that most clients are unaware of, but through our training and continuous thirst for furthering our expertise, we now not only understand these requirements but are certified to plan development for them.
Specific to QSD and QSP, the requirements to comply with the Construction General Permit (CGP) / National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for storm water discharges have become much more extensive and complicated.
Our training & certification is not only required in order to create the SWPPP document in California; but it is invaluable in order to assist our clients in gathering and submitting the appropriate Permit Registration Documents (PRDs) in order to obtain coverage in a timely manner.
This way, we can provide better assistance to our clients in order to comply with the state law and avoid delays in construction and costly fines and penalties.
While the benefits to you — our client — is clear, the pursuit of expertise has been, and will continue to be, tied to our firm’s Mission Statement.
