Construction Completed on 7-Eleven Convenience Store Designed by Fiedler

Construction has been completed on December 15th for a new 7-Eleven Inc. convenience store, one of its many international chain of convenience stores. 7-Eleven is currently wanting to reflect the company’s new extended hours, 7a-11p seven days per week. Sherman Oaks is famous for its shopping malls, including Westfield Fashion Square and Sherman Oaks Gallery. 7-Eleven strived and succeeded to become part of this suburban and mall culture.
This Southern California project, located at 15445 Ventura Blvd, represents many of the convenience stores that Fiedler Group has designed and permitted for 7-Eleven. This is in close proximity to the 101 and 405 freeways; the neighborhood provides easy access to West Los Angeles and neighboring Studio City.
This precise site was a Tenant Improvement of a multiple existing office spaces. The major challenges that arose included the limited ceiling height and the combining of all the existing office tenant spaces into one. The store ceiling height constraint throughout the space made it difficult to maneuver and work with the HVAC ducting and equipment piping. In order to obtain approval for this project and its process, it took roughly (3) three years from lease to planning and through the permitting process.
Fiedler Group provided a full range of design services for this project, including entitlement process, construction documents, and permitting services.
